Concept design of the tourist area "Visok" in Serbia, under the cross-border cooperation program between Bulgaria and Serbia From Nish to Svoge for Tourism Between Friends – Good Neighbours (BG 2004/016-785010101014) of Balkan Society Coalition - Belogradchik, Bulgaria, and Protecta Organization - Serbia.

South Plana Mid-High Mountain Landscape Park - concept design of a tourist area in the Samokov District.
BARET participated in designing and building the Kaninska Ecotrail in the Western Rhodopes, under the project of the Municipality of Garmen and Borrowed Nature Association for cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Macedonia.

2006 - 2007
Drafting a development strategy for the Treklyano District, Kyustendil Region, for the years 2007 - 2013, under the Active Services on the Labor Market Program of the National Employment Agency. BARET experts elaborated a strategy for developing non-traditional tourism in the district.
Drafting a development strategy for the Nevestino District, Kyustendil Region, for the years 2007 - 2013, under the Active Services on the Labor Market Program of the National Employment Agency. BARET experts worked on defining and developing a local tourist product, and organized a rural tourism training for hosts and householders.
Drafting a development strategy for the Pavel banya District, for the years 2007 - 2013, under the Active Services on the Labor Market Program of the National Employment Agency. BARET experts elaborated a strategy for developing non-traditional tourism in the district.
Project: Creation of Virtual Center for Joint Sustainable Environmental Management of the Target Cross-Border Area Tsenovo (Bulgaria) - Comana (Romania) (2004/016-783.01.03/G/CBC/JSP). BARET experts created the natural potential database, and elaborated a management strategy.

Iskar-Panega Geopark: creating the first geopark in Bulgaria. Project: Creating an Integrated Tourist Product for Improving the Sustainable Economic Development of the Lukovit District, sponsored by the PHARE Development of Bulgarian Ecotourism Program.
Creating an Ecotourist Hinterland in the Districts of Veliko Tarnovo, Strazhitsa, Zlataritsa and Antonovo . The existing Negovanka Ecotrail, together with several new tourist sites: the Musina chasms, Hotnitsa Ecotrail, Zarapovo Geocomplex, located in the karst area near Veliko Tarnovo, Stara reka Ecotrail (including the so-called Roman bridge), Strazhitsa Roadside Landscape Park, all form a larger tourist area. The project is sponsored by the PHARE Development of Bulgarian Ecotourism Program.
Concept design of the Bogdan-Bunaya Mid-High Mountain Landscape Park in the Koprivshtitsa District - creating the town's environmental tourist hinterland.

Concept design of the "Devil's" Trail in the Borino District, Smolyan Region. A project to renovate and extend the South Rhodopes Ecotrail under the new name "Devil's" Trail, including a replacement of old bridges and a route change. Sponsored by Bio-B-Eco Association - village of Borino, Smolyan Region.

Concept design of the Malka Arda Riverside Landscape Park in the Banite District, Smolyan Region.

Project: Business People in Rural Tourism. Creating a sustainability strategy: general guidelines for ensuring sustainability in rural tourism development, and lobbying in the open community of tourist enterprises in rural regions. The project is sponsored by the Leonardo da Vinci Program. BARET participates as a partner of TUV Akademie GmbH.

Concept design of the Goritsa (Ovchartsi) Ecotrail near the village of Ovchartsi, Kyustendil Region. Sponsor: Sapareva banya Tourism Council.
Concept design of the Beli Iskar Ecotrail – Samokov, Sofia Region.
Concept design of the Kalofer Ecotrail – Kalofer, Plovdiv Region. Note: The ecotrail is currently open for visitors under the name "Byala reka."
Concept design of the Golyama reka Recreation Area in the districts of Antonovo and Popovo, Targovishte Region.

Creating a Regional Tourist Product – Steps Towards the Revival and Sustainable Development of the Tran District (BG 9915-01). Completing the Tran Ecotrail, situated along the Erma and Yablanitsa River Gorges. The project is sponsored by the PHARE Steel and Mining Areas Employment Project (SMAEP).

Completing the Negovanka Ecotrail, Veliko Tarnovo District. Renovation of the existing structures in the Negovanka River Gorge and extension of the trail to form a loop. Sponsors: Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, Veliko Tarnovo Forestry Board.

Organizing a series of seminars on rural and ecotourism in the village of Kopilovtsi, Montana Region and the town of Byala cherkva, Veliko Tarnovo Region. The project is sponsored by the British Know-How Fund and is implemented jointly with the Tourism Department of the Sofia University "St Kliment Ohridski".
1997 - 1998
Revival of the Bulgarian Village Through the Development of Rural and Ecotourism. Organizing a series of seminars on rural and ecotourism in Kopilovtzi (Montana), Byala cherkva (Veliko Tarnovo), Lessidren, Krushuna, Ribaritsa (Lovech). The project is sponsored by the Institute for Sustainable Communities - USAID, the Democratic Network Program.
1996 - 1997
Strengthening of the Bulgarian Association for Rural and Ecological Tourism as an Organization Promoting the Development of Rural Areas in Bulgaria. Capacity building through organizing a series of seminars and creating pilot areas, to promote rural an ecological tourism. The project is sponsored by the Civil Society Development Foundation.
1995
Ecology Education for Students. Creating a training methodology; organizing seminars and open-air classes for students. The project is sponsored by the Regional Ecological Center for Central and Eastern Europe, and is implemented jointly with the Medical Geography Society.

Creation of the Negovanka Ecotrail; the Bulgarian Model of Ecotourism is brought into being.
Thanks to Peter Petrov's efforts, the Krushuna travertine cascade is declared to be a protected nature site. Thus, this unique natural phenomenon is saved from destruction. Building of the first bridges for tourists.
1990
Thanks to Peter Petrov's efforts, the karst chasm Golyama Garvanitsa is saved from destruction and gets a protected site status (initially accessible for scientific studies only).
